Week 80  This week more ventilators & motors

The bits we received

And what we did with them

First, I files all the mould lines off and cleaned the parts with thinners.  The the motors were glued in place with thick super glue. 

Then the parts were painted white as per the previous weeks, with the vent holes being touched in with black.

Finally the vents were glued in place with super glue.  I left off four of the vents for the moment.  The three on the funnel casing (step 3) as it will be better to leave these until after the trunking is in place, and one in step 4 which is close to a hand rail.  It will be easier to fit the handrail first, then put this vent in place.  The photo shows some of the vents in place. 

Here are the last couple of vents fitted in place after the funnels went on.

Hot tip of the week

Think ahead and try to do jobs in a logical sequence, such as fixing a handrail before putting a vent in front of it.
